Nottingham City Transport Price Increase Details

Shock as Bus passengers face a hike in prices to all Nottingham City Transport services for the first time in years.

The changes take effect from Sunday, March 25, and single cash fares will go up by 20p and the All-day Ticket by 30p.

For example, the Standard City Single which will go up by 20p to £2.20 from £2 if paid in cash, the first time in four years the price has been increased.

The All-Day Ticket will coast £4 if paid by cash, from £3.70.

The Under 19 Single will rise for the first time in eight years to £1.10 by 10p if paid in cash.

Prices on the NCTX Buses App will also rise for the first time since it launched in 2016.

The main NCT fare changes are:

  • Raising the price of the City Area Single for the first time in four years to £2.20.
  • Raising the price of the cash all-day ticket from £3.70 to £4.00, but customers can pay £3.80 if they switch to paying with the NCTX Buses App or a Robin Hood Pay as You Go Card.
  • Raising the price of the City Area Single for Under 19s for the first time in eight years to £1.10
  • Increasing Easyrider Everyday – a weekly or monthly pass – and Everyday Further prices
  • Expanding the range of tickets customers can buy on their smart phone using the NCTX Buses app to include bundles of day tickets and single journeys

Of the Easyrider Everyday rises, a seven-day weekly pass for Under 19s will rise from £8.25 to £8.50.
